The Problem Is You Think You Have Time

  • Start Today Podcast

Posted by The Hollis Company on January 26, 2020

It's a new week, y'all! This morning, Rachel and Dave get real and talk to you about grief and realizing that the time we have in this life is limited. Instead of WAITING for circumstances that make your dream easier to achieve, let's START TODAY and make EVERY SECOND COUNT!

  • I wanted to take a moment to thank Rachel and Dave for this episode of the podcast. I have been listening to Rachel and reading her books for some time now, and I am happy to say I have been using the Start Today journal since September 2019. The journal has allowed me to start every day with intention and gratitude. On 1/10/2019, I opened my journal like I do every day, but this day I had an awful feeling. I knew something was going to go wrong, but I didn’t know what. Even on one of my gratitude lines, I went off course and wrote: “Please give peace to those who lost someone yesterday.” Later that day, I found out my sister passed away suddenly in her sleep at age 45. It has been a challenging few weeks, but I knew I should still use the journal. I still opened my journal every day, but I couldn’t seem to write any of my goals down; it just didn’t seem as important anymore. I just kept on writing a crossed the top line, “Not today.”

Out of desperation to pick myself back up, I went to Rachel’s website, not sure what I was looking for, and I happened to see Monday’s podcast, “The Problem is You Think You Have Time.” I immediately started listening. I know this podcast was created due to recent news, but I found this information uplifting and gave me a little push to keep going on the goals I have for myself. Thank you, Rachel and Dave, for adding some much-needed gasoline to my fire.
