How to Supercharge Your Morning Routine

  • RISE PODCAST

Posted by Rachel Hollis on December 10, 2019

I recorded this for you in New York at 5 am before I went on Good Morning America because I felt inspired to share with y'all how important my morning routine is for ME. We often think about getting up early in terms of things we owe to other people - our family, our kids, our work, but I'm here to share with you all the ways I make my mornings the most important cornerstone of achieving MY goals. I wasn't always this way, I didn't always wake up with on energy ready to take on the day, but I'm sharing with you now my tips and tricks to supercharge your morning (while talking really quietly in a hotel room).

  • This was a great episode, thank you!

One question I always have after learning about your routine is how to you get to bed early as your kids start to get older and are going to bed later. I do the following:
    1. Wash/face and get Pjs on at the same time as them
    2. Use their bedtime routine as mine
    3. Go to bed right after my kids do

    BUT

It seems that they have to get up earlier and earlier and go to bed later and later due to timing of practices/homework/school start time etc. I work REALLY hard to avoid over-scheduling and protecting their bedtimes but some of these are out of my control. What do you suggest?

    Thank you!
